To all art afficionados out there - check out the biggest gathering of art galleries in the country - Manila Art 2011 on August 25 - 27, 2011 from 11am to 8pm at the NBC Tent, Bonifacio Global City. Entrance Fee P200 Students/Senior Citizens - P100 (just bring your ID's)
Highlights include:
- simultaneous opening of 24 exciting art exhibitions from 24 top galleries in different areas of art.
- showcase of the art works of highly-sought painter Elmer Borlongan with his obra, "Batang Edsa" (shown above), and works of other artists like Dominic Rubio, Jun Balasbas and many more.
- Art Raffle - win art works during the event! (this is the most exciting part for me:))
- art lectures/sessions
- some interesting art pieces like what they call the "Art Toys", some of which were displayed at Ronac Art Center, Manila's newest hub for contemporary art and retail.
