As part of DZUP 1602’s
initiative to promote the radio station not only to the UP Community, but also
to the Greater Manila Area and nearby provinces, DZUP will be holding a formal
station re-launch on November 28 to December 16, 2011 entitled DZUPLoaded:
XMASsive Rock Concert (featuring Parokya ni Edgar, Kamikaze, Pupil, Itcyworms and many more) and Bazaar at the College of Mass
Communication Hills, UP Diliman.
DZUPLoaded is a three (3)-week Christmas bazaar which will
be highlighted by a free rock concert on December 9, 2011. The concert will feature some of the nation’s respected and successful
bands as well as some of the most promising bands from the University of the
Philippines. DZUP plans to make the DZUPLoaded Rock Concert and Bazaar an
annual event and it is envisioned to be one of UP Diliman’s
December attractions along with the famed Lantern Parade and Oblation Run.
DZUP broadcasts over at 1602kHz
on AM radio at 5 kilowatts, from 10am to 8pm, Mondays to Fridays and can be
heard all over Metro Manila and as far as Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Pampanga and
Bataan. DZUP is also heard online at www.dzup.org. The
management and operations of DZUP is under the supervision of the Broadcast
Communication Department, College of Mass Communication (CMC). In
partnership with other UP Academic Units, DZUP airs progress-oriented, educational,
advocacy programs.
