A Run for Pasig River 2011

Let's save the Pasig River for our generation and the generations to come! Let's support and participate in this year's A Run for Pasig River scheduled on Nov. 20, 2011!  Last year, more than 116,086 runners joined and broke the Guinness World Records (the previous record was held by the 1988 Bay to Breakers in San Francisco, USA, with 110,000 runners)  for the most number of participants in a foot race.

Let's do it again this year!

I am not a runner, but if I can walk around the malls for 4 to 5 hours, then a 3K-run will be easy for me :))

Pre-register HERE and it is important to read the rules and regulations..please click HERE.
Registration rates: For 3K/5K -  P300, P150 (for students with valid ID) and for 10K -  P450

Since the launch of ABS-CBN Foundation's Kapit Bisig para sa Ilog Pasig (KBPIP) on 2009, an annual run for the Pasig River has been held. This serves as the crux of KBPIP's fundraising and information campaign for the ongoing rehabilitation for the River.

The funds raised from the advocacy run were used to further rehabilitate Estero de Paco, particularly in putting up coco coirs to prevent erosion and introducing remediation technologies to improve water quality.
