KPOP Convention at Megatent

The Third Philippine KPOP Convention happens on December 30, 2011 at Megatent, Ortigas Center!

Here are the highlights of the event:

1. Gawad Kalinga - Proceeds will go to the biggest movement that envisions to end poverty by building communities and making heroes out of ordinary Filipinos. Kpop fans will enjoy this event to the fullest for a great cause! We are also encouraging everyone to donate in-kind for the victims of the calamity in Mindanao (rice, canned goods, clothes, etc).
   
2. Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) - Proceeds will also go to a volunteer-based non-government organization whose goal is to prevent animal cruelty through education, animal sheltering and advocacy. We will also be accepting donations in kind for the medical care and rehabilitation for the rescued dogs in the Illegal Dogfighting Case in Cavite (dog food, steel bowls, cleaning materials, as well as medicines such as doxycycline antibiotic (100 mg), Liv 52 and liver supplements like Silymarin and Liveraide, multivitamins, and silver sulfadiazene ointment for wounds).
   
3. The 3rd Philippine Kpop Awards - On its third year, recognizes the Kpop artists who made an impact in the Philippine Kpop community. Representative fanclubs will collect the awards until it is given to its perspective artists. Special awards this year include Fanclub of the Year (powered by Globe Mobile Internet) and Music Video of the Year (powered by Kitiwit.com)
   
4. Over 60 Fan Club Booths - Each booth is themed in accordance to their artist. The FCs have prepared activities, games and fan merchandise for the guests and fellow fans to enjoy!
   
   
5. Official Album Launch:
   from Music Label Partner, Warner Music in cooperation with PKCI fanclubs: KARA “Step” / Digital launch: ZE:A “Exciting” – MP3 downloads & ringback tones!
   
6. Raffle and Give-aways:
• 3,000 complimentary gift bags (gift certificates, postcards, bookmarks and more exclusive Kpop items!)
• Over P205,000 ($4,700USD) worth of gift certificates and products from our sponsors, P50,000 ($1,200USD) worth of Kpop CDs and DVDs, TONS of Kpop posters, official goods, magazines, fanclub merchandise, Magic Sing units, 100 units of headphones, and more!
• Nine (9) Girl’s Generation standees to be raffled off to lucky guests!

7. Special Participation:
• The Korean Cultural Center - The esteemed Councilor Hwang Seong Un will be making a keynote speech! KCC will also be giving away Kpop calendars, albums, and various Korean cultural products as prizes!
• United Korean Community Association 
• Anime Alliance Asia will have a special participation during the event! Anime fans, watch out for familiar faces among the crowd!
• Giordano and Bulgogi Brothers and will also be giving gift certificates for the raffle and contest winners!
• Art Movement Studios will be sponsoring the glam photoshoot for all our contest winners.
8. Special Performances:
• Over 15 opening acts chosen from 120 Kpop Cover groups!

• KPOP CON’s Stars of the Day - Dress up, look fab and shine like a star on December 30 at THE 3RD PHILIPPINE KPOP CONVENTION! We’ll spot one (1) male and one (1) female guests with that “x-factor” from the crowd who will be crowed KPOP CON’s Stars of the Day!!!
