On April 10, 2012 join TOMS as they go One Day Without Shoes to spread awareness on the impact a pair of shoes can have. Last year, people went barefoot here in the Philippines and all over the world. This year, the event hits closer to home as thousands of children to date have received shoes through TOMS Philippines’ giving partner, WE International.

One Day Without Shoes is an annual event TOMS holds throughout the world. For one day, an hour, or even just ten minutes, they encourage everyone to take off their shoes to understand the importance of shoes and raise awareness on the impact of a pair of shoes can make on an child’s life.  

The campaign this year revolves around asking everyone to do what they normally do but without shoes. To go without shoes so kids won’t have to.

TOMS Philippines continues its partnership with Ayala Malls as they host the event on April 10, 2012, Tuesday (assembly and registration time starts at 3pm), in Greenbelt 3 Park in Ayala Center, Makati City. Take off your shoes and join them for a walk to champion the cause. Take off your shoes for all the unshod children who have to walk for kilometers just to get to school. Take off your shoes and spark the conversation.

Every single barefoot person can make a difference. Put yourself in a child’s shoes by removing your own.
