Neutrogena Launches New Campaign, Advocates Healthy Beauty for Filipino Women

The international skincare brand launched a new beauty philosophy that features the well-loved Neutrogena® skin care range including the Deep Clean™ facial cleansers, the Ultra Sheer™ sun protection range and the Hydro Boost™ gel and water-based moisturizer. The launch is part of the brand’s new campaign and advocacy for beautifully healthy skin.

“Many Filipino women believe in tiis ganda, making it acceptable for them to go through skin irritation and discomfort in the name of beauty,” Ella Reyes-David, Neutrogena® senior brand manager, said. “Our main goal is to spread the message that healthy is the new beauty.”

According to Reyes-David, Neutrogena®’s products “combine scientifically proven formulas with skin-friendly ingredients.” She added, “This combination allows Neutrogena® to effectively address skin problems in a healthy and pleasant way.”

The launch event was hosted by Filipino-British TV host and social media celebrity Kim Jones, who is also the brand’s new ambassador.

Skin-friendly and effective

In highlighting the distinct features of its new line of skincare products, the brand used common beauty myths to illustrate the Neutrogena® difference. During the launch, videos of various women, including Jones, sharing their deeply held tiis-ganda beliefs and how they debunked those with the help of Neutrogena®, were revealed.

For instance, unlike traditional facial cleansers that leave skin dry and squeaky, Neutrogena® Deep Clean™ cleanser cleans deep down into pores to dissolve dirt, oil and make-up residue, effectively removing up to 99 percent of impurities, minus the post-wash dryness.

“A lot of women think that dryness is a good sign that the skin is clean,” Reyes-David explained. “In reality, it just means that your facial wash is stripping your skin of moisture.”

The new Neutrogena® Hydro Boost™ Water Gel, a water- and gel-based moisturizer, proves that moisturizing does not have to be an oily process. Upon application, it instantly hydrates, and helps soothe and calm skin, leaving it soft, supple and oil-free. It is made with a combination of Olive extract and Hyaluronic acid that allows it to provide up to 200 percent hydration, plus a Progressive Release System that keeps skin hydrated for up to 12 hours.
