To further promote our country’s finest locally-made chocolate products and in partnership with Department of Tourism (DOT), Malagos Chocolate, Auro Chocolate, Theo & Philo Artisanal Chocolates, Manila Chocolatier, and Risa Chocolates are now being sold at Go Lokal, Duty Free Philippines (DFP).
In 2018, Malagos Chocolate’s 85% Dark Chocolate and Chocolate Rhum bagged silver awards and their 73% Dark Chocolate Ganache and Chocolate Salted Caramel bagged bronze awards at the International Chocolate Awards in Florence, Italy.
Auro Chocolate and Theo & Philo also received accolades at the 2018 Academy of Chocolate Awards in the United Kingdom last July. Auro and Theo & Philip Chocolates all source out their cacao beans from Davao which is widely known as a top producer of world class cacao.
Manila Chocolatier features fifteen praline of Pinoy’s favorite flavors like Buko Pandan, Ube, Leche Flan, Calamansi, Barako Coffee, Banana Cue, Pili Nut, Bucayo and more. It immediately reminds balikbayans of home, as well as introduces foreigners to our culture.
“We at Duty Free are proud to be of service to Pinoy MSME’s which we believe will ultimately help our country in the long run. We are excited to support and see how this initiative and thrust of the DOT Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat will grow in the coming years.” COO Angala echoed.
Have a taste of these proudly Pinoy-made sweets at DFP’s Fiestamall and major airport departure stores in NAIA Terminals 1, 2, 3 and in the newly opened Luxe Duty Free near Mall of Asia in Pasay. Aside from the airports in Manila, these chocolates can also be found in Mactan, Clark, and Kalibo airports.
DFP will be further expanding Go Lokal by adding more proudly Pinoy-made products that will surely remind not only our Balikbayans and OFWs but also foreign travelers with unique flavors the Philippines has to offer.
