It protects, preserves, and promotes the heritage of the country. Today, May 18 is International Museum Day. Museums in the Metro offer FREE ENTRANCE, so it's time to visit one today!
The National Museum (NM) celebrates the 2019 International Museum Day through various educational public programs happening simultaneously in the three island groups of the country. This year's theme, “Museums as Cultural Hubs: The Future of Tradition”, highlights the role of museums in their respective communities.
On May 18, the NM will hold FREE special guided tours, lectures, and fora in its central, regional, area, and site museums to actively reach out and bring the museum closer to the communities it serves.
In the flagship museums in Manila, curators will hold a one-hour special guided tour on a range of topics such as architectural arts, built heritage, fine arts, underwater archaeology, and geology and paleontology.

As a celebration of International Museum Day on May 18 (Saturday), Museo Pambata is offering FREE ADMISSION to all walk-in visitors!
